Kakadu Air was established in 1982 by Bob and Ngaire McDonald who fell in love with the National Park. In July 2018, Kakadu Air changed hands and was purchased by four Northern Territory residents who have been based in the Northern Territory for many years. Under the new ownership, the Kakadu Air business purpose remains the same; contribute to ensuring Kakadu National Park is a must-see destination for all visitors to the Northern Territory.
Kakadu National Park is one of four Australian sites included on the World Heritage List for both cultural and natural outstanding universal values. Kakadu is also Australia’s largest National Park. The park features natural beauty and sweeping landscapes as well as internationally important wetlands. One of the best ways to experience the sheer beauty of the landscape is from the air as many parts of Kakadu are completely inaccessible from the ground, especially in the Wet Season.
