The Hunter Artisan Gallery and Café’ is a permanently-housed artisan collective, featuring the works of independent makers from across The Hunter area. They seek to encourage creativity, to connect, inspire and empower the creative community.
Located inside the former George and Dragon Inn, this is more than just a gallery or a cafe, but rather a creative space where people can connect inspire and empower the creative community. Their creative space also offers drawing and other art workshops, special individual and group exhibitions and a wonderful meeting place for writers and poets.
The gallery café offers a simple menu of hearty home-style meals, tasty toasties and home-made cakes and sweets. The ingredients is sourced locally and are made on the premises. They are fully licensed and offer a small range of Hunter wines.
